9 Months Old!

My little boy is officially 9 months old! I'm not too sure how long I can use "my little boy" because for some reason, he has seemed so big to me the past few weeks! I guess it started with our visit to the doctor this last week. Andrew had his 9 month check up. We found out he weights 20 lbs (50th-60th percentile) and 30 in. long (90th percentile). In case you read over that too quickly, I have a child in the 90th percentile for height! Who would have thought that?! Andrew was also given the go to eat many soft table foods and since then, he has gone to town! His new favorite foods include avocado, beans (any type), cheerios, pancakes and applesauce. He pretty much wants a bite of anything I am eating!! He is doing so well picking up objects with his fore finger and thumb. Yay for fine motor skills!!

Speaking of motor skills, Andrew still has not found the desire to belly crawl or crawl just yet. He is pro at sitting up while playing with toys, jumping in his jumperoo and sitting in one spot while watching Sesame Street. As you can see, he is just fine being content in one place right now (as many of you are thinking, enjoy that while it lasts!).  Andrew has also learned the new world of standing up. He is learning how to pull himself up on furniture and walking toys. Once he's up, he loves it but isn't too sure how to get back down. He mainly does this with the assistance of others. I am thinking my world is about to change!!

Andrew continues to bring a smile to our faces continually! He wakes up in the happiest mood (morning person like his mommy) and makes us laugh with his new language and expressions. He is babbling like crazy "mama mama" and "dada dada" but still not sure who momma and daddy truly are. Andrew has also learned about strangers and tends to want his mommy quite a lot these days! He continues to be connected to his blue blanket and paci. We typically only gets these items when he is napping or in the car. We never leave home without them! Andrew is continuing to sleep very well! He normally goes to bed around 8:30 p.m. and gets up around 7 a.m.. He has a morning nap around 9 or so and an afternoon nap around 2. So proud of him for sleeping so well!

Andrew and I very excited about next month because Daddy has weekends off in April!! Yay!! Normal working hours?! What is that?! We hope to go enjoy many of the fun attractions Nashville has to offer. I can see many zoo visits, park adventures, picnics and new restaurant outings in our future! We have loved watching Andrew grow and look forward to see what God has in store for us next month!

Good morning world!

Road Trip to Arkansas!

This last weekend, Kelsey, Andrew and myself loaded up the car to head to Cabot and Searcy Arkansas. We had ben invited to a shower honoring our dear friend from Harding, Laura Walker. Not only did we get to visit with many of our precious friends at the shower, but we were also able to visit with our family.

The car ride went so well. I am was so happy Kelsey got to come along with us. She was a life saver!! Andrew had many toys, snacks and movies ready for the ride. Boy, were we so grateful for Baby Einstein and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!! Andrew loved his movies!!

Laura's shower was so much fun! It was so great to see the glowing, pregnant mommy-to-be! She is definitely ready to meet her sweet little Beckham! The decor, food and fellowship was perfect! Oh how I have missed my college friends! I am so happy everyone is doing so well! Love you girls so much!

While we were there we also go to visit with many people... I will let the pictures tell that story.

Andrew meeting Mammy and Papaw for the first time!!! (Kelsey's grandparents who took me in as another grandchild while living in Searcy.)

Hey Aunt Nenna!!!

Nenna can always get a smile from this little boy!

Now on to mommy's favorite restaurant from college- Lenny's!!

Oh he will love Lenny's one day! ;)

Andrew checking our Nenna's spring sing practice with Zeta Rho!

Ah! So glad we got to stay with these sweet kiddos!!
Griffin and Bailey getting ready for bed.

This girl is a pro at hide-and-seek. She honestly could stay there motionless forever!

I was off getting ready for the shower and Andrew was hanging out with his uncle Jacob.

Toy Story time!

Bailey being such a great helper!

Sweet cousins!

Not only did Einstein save the day while traveling, but it even made an appearance at the shower! (Poor Baby had a cold, two teeth coming in and has started a fear of strangers... but he was a trooper!)

KoJoKai ladies

Posing with our babies!

haha!! Bailey having the time of her life, Andrew not so much!

Whew! Being totally off our schedule called for a early crash that night! Andrew enjoyed his snuggles with uncle Jacob!

The next morning we were able to worship with the members of College CoC. Look who came to join us! Nenna and Scotti Beth!

Andrew meeting Harding royalty, Dr. Ganus! (excuse my funny face! hehe)

Right after church, we changed clothes and headed back to Nashville. Andrew needed to stretch while we were getting gas!

Hi everyone! Just like Pa!!!

So, somehow I did not end up with a picture with Kelsey! We were too busy taking pics of everyone else! We'll definitely have to do better next time! Road trips with you have always and continue to be so much fun!! We love you Kels!!
