Look who just turned 4 months old!! Andrew is growing, growing, growing!! He had a check-up this month. He weighed in at 14 lbs 10 oz and is now 25.5 inches long! He is now twice his birth weight! The doctor says he is now in the 50th percentile for weight and 75 percentile for height. That is a 25% increase in length from our last visit. This appointment also included 3 shots... :( The nurse allowed me to hold him in my lap this time. This made things much easier for mommy and Andrew. After each shot, I was able to hold him, while consoling him. Andrew did great! He cried of course, but was able to calm down pretty quickly. The doctor was also impressed with how social he has become! He was putting on quite the show for her talking up a storm! It was hilarious! I told her he must get this from his mommy! :) We were also happy to report that he learned how to turn over this month! What an accomplishment! He did it first for his daddy while playing in the floor, and then I was able to catch his second one on tape! We cheered and praised him for working so hard and reaching his goal! It was so fun to watch him work so hard and accomplish what he set out to do!
As I said earlier, Andrew has also become quite social this month. He loves to smile and talk anyone he is around. This makes his mommy really happy! He is also doing great job with his arms and bring toys to his mouth. He reaches out for objects and loves to look at his arms. It's the cutest thing! Andrew is continuing to sleep 9-10 hours at night. Yay!! We think we are going to start weening him off of being swaddled this month. He has learned how to sleep during the day without it, but is still swaddled at night to help him sleep soundly. He is starting to become so much stronger and harder to swaddle every night. We'll see how this goes! We have had so much fun watching him grow and cannot wait to see what joy he brings to us this next month!
