Our precious little boy is now 6 months old! I can hardly believe it! It was just 6 months ago that he became a part of our family. Amazing how much love we feel for our sweet Andrew. He is growing, growing, growing. He weighed in at 18 lbs, 3 oz at his 6 month check-up. (last visit 2 months ago- 14 lbs, 10 oz) He is now 27 inches long. He is in the 75% for height and weight.
Andrew has now added baby food to his diet. He began eating cereal around 5 months, and now he is eating cereal for breakfast, fruits and veggies for lunch and dinner. He of course is continuing to have bottles throughout the day. It's amazing how much bigger he seems now that he is sitting up in his highchair and eating from a spoon! His favorite foods include sweet potatoes, pears, squash and apples. He'll eat green beans, bananas, peas and carrots, but isn't too excited about those foods quite yet.
Andrew has adjusted to our new house quite nicely. He is sleeping in his bed every night and continuing to sleep through the night. (yay!) He still loves his pacifier and blanket for naps and bedtime. Andrew has moved to a morning nap (about 1.5 hours) and afternoon nap (about 2 hours). If daddy is going to be late, Andrew will lay down for a quick cat-nap just before dinner so he can stay up to see his daddy when he comes home. Andrew is definitely a morning person! He wakes up in the best mood! I love this because he gets it from me! :) He is learning how to sit-up independently, but is still very content laying on his back. Andrew can reach out for toys and enjoys grabbing anything around him. He is babbling "ma-ma-ma" quite a bit and it makes my heart so happy. :)
